  • Wife persuasion

Hi Everyone , I am trying to convince the wife into letting me buy a caterham, is there anyone in the orange county area that has one that would mind showing it off to us and possibly taking the mrs for a drive around the block?

Bring her to Buttonwillow this weekend for a ride on the track.

That will tip her one way or the other.

If you really will come best to call me first to be sure they are letting passengers on the track. I think with a Time Trial license your allowed a passenger.

Watch for one of our Sunday drives.

It's more fun with a bunch of Sevens.

There are some Sevens in Orange County but few are active on the this website.

Check out Cars and Coffee here: http://irvine.carsandcoffee.info/

Some show up there from timt to time.

Well if you find yourselves near Culver City let me know, just don't let your wife talk to mine as she hates it since she got sick and threw up in it

The funny thing is my wife goes " What is that car a Morgan ? " and I said "No that's a Caterham but there is a Morgan driving it " -delise

The ride, the car is much too fast for her and I have no self control

Not sure what is wrong with my wife but she rides along in the Seven all the time, several vacation trips and 1000s of miles. Occasionally she drives herself. She did not like driving on the track (tried a track school once) but reasonably fast (not like Morgan though....) on the road.

When my wife saw how small the car actually was she refused to get in (not crazy about me taking the kids out in it either).... not complaining as the solace is what I liked about my sportbike before I got this.

I live on the Northern border of Orange County (La Habra Heights), and I'd be happy to show my Birkin and give demo rides for the cause. :-)

You should be fine. The most problematic issue will, in general, be your feet. Most Se7en drivers find that they need to wear narrow driving shoes. If you have wide feet, as I do, the hunt for the right shoe (that fits both me and the car) can be a bit difficult.
