I want seven - newbie questions

I have been looking at seven ownership for a while. I have some questions that maybe experts at this forum can help answer:

1) How hard is the suspension - especially the old solid axle since I probably cannot afford CSR? Would it knock my teeth out and rattle my brain on a long road trip (3 hour - 4 hours)?

2) What can I get for 30k or below? I would like to have a Roadsport SV if I can - so I can get heater, weather package, windscreen with wiper. I have no plans to build one so only one I can presumably afford with 30k is used one - how can I tell the relative value of used caterham since there is no KBB?

The stock suspension is not harsh at all, especially if you get the DeDion style. I don't believe the solid axles are that bad either. The key is low unsprung weight so you can run much softer springs.

The best thing to do is find someone with a car and go for a ride

Used cars sell for $25K to $40K depending on spec and sellers motivation.
