    Hi there,
    I have a birkin. I am 6'2" and around 200lbs.
I have lowered the floor a little and still tinkering. It's tight and after around 60 miles I have to pull over and walk about a bit to rid me of a little arse ache.
I think I will be able to get it to the point where it is completely comfortable.
I raised the clutch pedal so I can rest my foot under it on long freeway runs like some other people have done.
I took a friend for a ride who is 6'1" and around 300lbs. He got in it ok and we drove around 10 miles. He said he was worried he looked like a bear in a toy car. The car still accelerated like crazy with the two of us in it.

I'm 6'0" 220 Size 12 feet. I put the "old school" Caterham bench seat in and choose my shoes carefully. It's a press fit. But it's so much fun I LOVE IT!!

I sat in an SV at Caterham and thought "wow, this is roomy" but it didn't feel the same.

It feels odd when I get back into my BMW

Thanks for the input. I am familar with the outfit in Texas. The local mechanic that services our work vehicles is familar with th driveline in the Birkin that I am looking at.

Nice to know people heavier than I am still enjoy these cars.

Can you still get parts for these cars.

I am 5'10 and 190# and the Birkin fits perfectly. There are numerous taller and some bigger people who drive it (or standards size Caterham) as well. I would feel lost in a bigger Seven

    Hi Bob, welcome.

I'm about your same size (even a little bit taller) and I have a standard size Caterham which should be about the same as the Birkin. It is indeed a tight fit and you don't really get into it so much as put it on. There are guys bigger than the both of us that seem to do just fine. I've found that I just got used to the tightness. My biggest concern was the room in the pedal box and what to do with my left foot. Again - I just got used to it.

You can get pretty much any part you may need. Most motors used in these cars can be found in cars in the US. I believe most Birkin owners rely on Dick Brink at Texas Motor Works for Birkin specific parts.

Goodluck and feel free to search through some of the old threads here. There's a lot of good information there for someone in your shoes.
