We are proud to announce the launch of the new US-market Caterham Duratec product line as well as the new Caterham USA web site at www.caterhamusa.com.
For the first time in more than two decades, Caterham has developed a world specification chassis that allows the use of powertrains that are readily available in the US. This shift has been made possible by the light and powerful Ford Duratec engine range. In contrast to the past Rover and Vauxhall-based UK Sevens, this means that the US market products will now be offered in parallel with the UK. With the release of the Caterham Power Train (CPT) Ford Duratec packages, the US market now has access to all the latest Caterham engine options that you’ve read about in Evo, Car, and on the internet.
The CPT Duratecs offer the highest levels of performance, reliability and enjoyment of any packages yet developed. From the base 170bhp engine package to the top-of-the-line Superlight R500 with 263bhp, the CPT Duratecs offer performance and pricing for every enthusiast. The Caterham Roadsport and Superlight chassis kit packages now include all of the installation parts and engine ancillaries for the 2.0L Ford Duratec. The customer need only supply a separate bare “long block” and transmission.
With the release of the CPT Duratec model range, the USA market now has access to the same fantastic top range Caterham models including the acclaimed Superlight R400 and the second generation Weapons Grade Superlight R500 that the UK market is enjoying. This landmark advancement will allow US customers immediate access to the latest developments in the evolution of Seven performance and agility.
