Since we've had a slew of spammers registering lately, I have re-enabled moderation of all new registrations. More work for me, but it should stop them cold.

We had a problem with spam on my forum so we added a simple registration question like "Who makes Lotus?" and it stopped the spam completely

I'm doing this on usa7s. As soon as I upgraded to vBulletin, I started getting spam users. Captcha does no good. So I added a question "who makes the seven", and no spam users since. No administrative headaches either.
