Thanks, we did get ahold of quicksilver earlier this week and they sold us some. But they said this might be the last set they sell, since they're down to three and are going to save the rest for their own engine builds!
The shop has had my car two months now, and still hasn't put the engine together. It's killing me!
I only know that it was recommended to me to change the gears in the oil pump to billet gears when running at high revs, because the stock ones can fail. I don't really know how prone to failure the stock gears are, but Quicksilver said they have seen it.
Ah, thanks... have not heard that before but can imagine if you got a race-trimmed engine and want to really rev it.
I limit my engine to 7100 rpm (stock pistons, rods and crank) and just hope the oil pump will hold up. Hey, you just got me one thing more to worry about :)
