Wheel bearings

Anybody have part numbers / manufacturer's info for wheel bearings? I'm stocking up in anticipation of changing.

For the fronts:

Clark just bought some of the standard bearings. I believe they are the same as a Triumph Spitfire.

You might also consider the Hub Upgrade for heavier stub axles available from Caterham or Demon Tweeks.

For the rear hub bearings:

I have a complete set with all the numbers but I would say it is best to get it from Caterham USA with all the seals too. Not too difficult to install, the option being to buy the entire hub complete with bearings and seals.

Chris,

Caterham cunningly remove the bearings from their manufacturer's packaging, so you have to read the part numbers off the bearings themselves. This is just about impossible - being the cheap bastard that I am I have examined several sets with a magnifying glass and the bloody zeros and eights and sixes all look the same. So I just order from Cody.

However, Caterham slipped up and shipped my front axle upgrade package with the bearings in their original packaging. Here are the numbers in case you have that setup:

NTN 4T-L44643L/ L44610

This part number(s) should get you one box containing all the parts for one wheel (inside and outside bearing and two races). Unlike the old triumph bearings, which have separate seals made of sackcloth and whale oil taken from an 18th century sailing ship, the uprated bearings have a nifty rubber seal integrated with the bearings themselves. Oh-so twentieth century.
