  • Scuttle Dimensions

If someone wouldn't mind, I would really appreciate knowing the front-to-back depth of the scuttle on a Caterham (or Birkin). The measurement at the level where the scuttle meets the upper chassis rail is the most important, but it would also be helpful to know the the number for the top of the scuttle, as well.

The reason I would like to know if that I have modified my Locost frame quite extensively, to the point that the standard scuttle dimensions will not be appropriate. As I have gone closer to original Seven proportions, this would be a great help.

    Thanks!

14" front to back along the upper chassis rail.

9" front to back at the center of the scuttle.

this is from a 2002 Caterham dedion chassis, not an SV.

I can send photos if you need them.

      Thanks, Doug.

Good point, I wonder if the SV is much different front-to-back on the scuttle. That car is certainly close in size to the Locost chassis.

Regardless, this is a great help!
