  • Spark plug gap for Duratec 237

Anyone know correct spark plug gap for the Iridium TR7IX in the Duratec 237 engine?

In this thread Sean quotes 0.64mm / 0.025in for the same plug in his CSR260 setup, but I can't find any reference to gap for my 485 in the build or owner's manual.

FYI the current gap is 0.94mm / 0.037in, consistent across all 4 plugs (2 a bit sooty after 3K miles, but nothing extreme). Just wondering if I should adjust before refitting.

    Gap - Factory Preset: 1.0 mm = 0.040" for a factory Duratec.

If it is running OK, they should be fine. YMMV

I also saw a reference to making them a bit smaller gap for coil on plug but if it is running OK you should be fine.
