I checked today why my timing belt was whipping in idle. Found it loose and the tensioner pulley at the end of the adjustment slot.
A closer look showed the timing belt (I guess together with road dust) has sanded off away about 30/1000 of my adjustable aluminum pulleys.
So I guess I should better replace them but at GBP195 that is quite painful. Any idea for a domestic source instead of Burton Power and Kent Cam? This is a 2.0 ZX1 Zetec from a Contour.
