  • Seeping transmission oil

I have always had a small droplet of oil hanging from the lowest point of my transmission. Tightened all the bolts I could find but after a while I just got used to it. It was so little I replaced maybe a few ounces after 3 years.

Now I changed gear oil with the thinner Redline MTL and it seems to have increased to maybe a drop or two in a week. Still not worrying but annoying and messy.

I there something known that I can do about it? Or is is just the gaskets between the housing parts that seep slowly?

Put some leak check dye in the transmission and check it with a UV light.

Auto part stores sell a kit with everything you need.

They have them for oil, coolant, and AC.
