  • Looking for Historical Info on my "new" Seven

    Is anybody in the group an old timer?..I.e. old enough to have been around or know anyone who was a member of Lotus West back in the late 60s or early 70s?

    I am looking to find info about my car's history.

    Any info is appreciated.

    Maybe contact Dave Bean? I could also put you in touch with some GGLC old timers who might have known So Cal folks as well.

      Hi, Ron;
      I joined Lotus West in 1970 when I bought my '70 Europa from Bob Challman in Manhattan Beach. In fact, to this day I still have my yellow nylon Lotus West windbreaker in the closet. The best contact info I have for you is Detlef Claudius of Lotus Prepared By Claudius, Inc at lotuspbc.com. He bonded in wheel arch flares, twin quarter panel NASA air ducts, twin locking racing gas caps, removed the amber parking/turn signal lights from the nose, installed flush driving lights below the front bumper in the front fascia, and a front air dam on the above Europa. His work was the best! Anyway, get in touch with him.....he's doing a lot of other Lotus things and will probably be a wealth of information for you. Good luck!
      With Best Regards,
      Jim F.
