  • Hushpower?

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of this muffler? It is being used in several race series to reduce noise and does not seem to cost HP. Might be a good solution for some of us if it can be customized a bit.

No personal experience, but one of the chaps on the birkin owners list just fitted one and wrote about it:

The muffler is a little louder than I'd like, but the tone is much deeper and less tiring when driving...and it is fairly quiet if I keep the revs down, a good idea anyway in residential areas.
The can really does stay fairly cool as advertised, can touch it briefly after a long drive and not get burned and there is noticeably much less heat on the left elbow when driving.
He is running the HP 2, not the PRO. The PRO has a 3" min inlet.

I installed one on a Birkin as mentioned...a little too loud for me but power seems fine by SOTP, at least as good as the stock straight through muffler. Got it from Summit Racing for $139. The HP2 is not pretty, but would look OK w/ a heat shield over it. Here is a photo of it installed and of a bracket I fabricated to mount it (adapted from a universal hanger and a band clamp)....
