Oh yeah? I'm on Water St. just now, on my way to City Hall to submit 3 buildings for Development Permit for the Vancouver Olympic Village.

Sorry Elv I can't seem to make Photos work so...

You see it's like this. ... My kids are driving me nuts with all this "I want to autocross stuff" followed by "Buy me a rice Rocket" ... so I start to tell them ancient Colin Chapman "super 7" tales and the benefits of power to weight.
Soon they are beginning to see the possibilities, especially after I tell them that a 7 can weigh as little as a thousand pounds , the fabulous Hayabusa engine delivers 180HP and this (dare I say) "7" travels from 0-60 in about 3.42 secs.
The kids (and I) originally had planned to build Caterham Hayabusa 7 but the boys at Super7Cars.Com let me know that they don't offer the car as a kit. ... (It seemed a little odd because Caterham's business model is founded on kit car sales. But, what can you do?)
So If I couldn't have a Caterham kit 7 then I set out to find another (Hayabusa) North American "Sevenesque" supplier and I decided on building a DeMan Motorsports SR7.
The car is now "track ready" and we are now leaping through the road registration hoops as set out by our vehicle registration system in British Columbia. ... (Ask Skinny G how that feels ... grrr!)

We really did want to build the Caterham Hayabusa rocket Kit but alas the good boys at Super7Cars.Com told us that they don't offer that.

It's all SkinnyG's fault! ... I saw his post on a "locost" post and I couldn't resist.
I am also a 7 enthusiast, however I humbly submit that my car (a DeMan Motorsport SR7) although a "locost" kitcar pays wonderful homage to the fabulous 7 using a Hayabusa engine/trans, a fully independant double wishbone suspension all round, limited slip differential and race quality Willwood Brakes.
It goes like a rocket and I have to say that the experience of building (well assembling) a car with your kids is an experience that you just can't put words to. ... In fact it's Super!
When are you boys (and gals) roaring through?
