    Caterham Newbie

    After years of wanting, and thanks to a great wife, I ordered a new CSR Roadsport last weekend. Should be ready to drive in the springtime. Can't wait.

    So it looks like I will visiting this forum pretty regularly.
    Still in the massive grin stage. Damn bugs

    Cool! There is a thread in the Events section started by John about some Sevens driving South to Monterey in August, if you think you might be looking for an inaugural road trip.

      Thanks, I saw that and it looks intriguing. If the timing doesn't work I'll try to catch the end of the return trip.

        The transmission arrived today and the Cosworth 260 is ready to be shipped after the first of the year. All I need now is the rest of the car. Hopefully it will arrive in late March.

                Current status: After spending 10 days trying to figure out why Cosworth had no record of my wire transfer, the engine is now in a FedEx truck and should be delivered tomorrow.

                The people at Cosworth were very pleasant, though quite adamant that the money was never received. They also checked and said no other deposits had been made for a similar amount anytime in December. Until they found it three weeks after the date the bank had confirmed receipt.

                So the drivetrain is here(almost). Just need a car to put it in. Still looking at an early April arrival followed by a few weeks to assemble it. By then the sun will be out and the weather warm. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.

                  Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh at some point. Always good to have another se7en in the area.
