Since I finally made my first post after many years of lurking, I thought I'd introduce myself. Some of you that frequent the USA7's forum should recognize me as a long time Lotus Seven/LBC admirer and present day Birkin owner. It's a 2001 model powered by a ZX1 Zetec that I bought as a dealers demo with a little over 200 miles on it back in 2002. Over the years I've modified and upgraded a few things to make it a little more focused for my needs. Here's some highlights of the changes:
Jenvey TB's, Emerald ECU to replace the stock induction.
BGH sporting close ratio T9 to replace the standard Ford ratios.
Fuel Safe fuel cell as part of a group buy through Woody at MSI.
Raceco Silencer through AMMO in the UK.
Rear trailing arm kit through Woody at MSI.
Upgraded wiring harness to replace the stock Birkin one that wasn't too impressive in 2001. :(
Custom stainless fuel lines (3/8" hard and AN6 braided)
15x7 Enkei RPF1 with Falken Azenis RT615 205/50-15 to replace the rock hard Firestones that came with the car. I also lost about 9 lbs per corner! :)
I also recovered the dash with some extra vinyl that I had left over from my '64 MGB. Some PO had melted some of the original vinyl when he soldered the wiring to the headlight switch....UGH!
That's about it for now. Here's some pics.
Cheers, Bruce
