Ya, good luck to all. Has any one heard any news yet? How quickly they went?

On the usa7s.com site, one guy (Rod) got his # by 9:10am. Another guy said the DMV lady phoning Sacramento for him never got through till noon, and then the numbers were all gone!

I read that, too. That is the first I've heard of somebody who went to the DMV properly prepared but didn't get a number. Not even picking up the phone until 9:00 though, that is just crazy on the part of the DMV lady. The one who phoned from Santa Clara DMV when I was there a year ago was dialing right around 8:01 a.m. or so.

I called a buddy of mine this morning around 9:45am to see how he was doing getting a number for his Superformance Cobra. He was still at the DMV and said that the woman helping him and 4 other hopeful folks was having no luck getting through either. Apparently it was a near constant busy signal to Sacramento. Fortunately she finally got through and he received his number about an hour later. Of course he is probably going to lose his license in a couple of months in that car, so I'm not sure the grief was worth it ;)
