    The scary bit is that he *had* a driveshaft hoop. 'course after the driveshaft let go, he could not even find a piece of it!! :eek:

      Yes.....scary. Maybe I have a look and give the UJTs another good shot of grease sometimes. I don't know how good my homemade hoops are.

      But, that may be another reason to put a carbon fiber shaft in. Less destructive mass and it should disintegrate much easier when flailing (hear that Chris?).

        Expensive, but if it breaks it should do a fairly small amount of damage to the car.

          I had a look at one during my conversation w/ RIF at Donington. Definitely on my list of things to do.
