Seven CustomTrailer

I was wondering if anyone out there had a lead on a Seven specific trailer, or someone who can make one for a reasonable price.
I want something of minimum size to pull the car. I think someone in the Bay Area bought the trailer off Will (Southern Cal Sevens) recently, if they are on this list, I would appreciate an opportunity to take some dimensions and photos if possible.
Any advice or guidance would be appreciated....

Magnus and I had some made at Mighty Mover of Corona. Came in around 2 grand but we both (I think) optioned them up to a little more than that. It weighs under a thousand lbs. and pulls like a dream. It took the vendor about 5 or 6 weeks to work them into their production cycle. Google will reveal their website.

I have looked at getting one made locally (Bay Area) and found a company that will do it for $1600 for a basic drop axle unit with no shiny bits. I really wanted to look at some dimensions and specs to make sure I was doing the right thing.

Just make sure to get one with surge or electrical brakes, which would be sensational for $1600. AFAIK this is required by CA vehicle code if over 1500 lbs loaded weight no matter how big the tow car. Normally not a big deal but it may become an insurance headache in an accident.

(b) Every trailer or semitrailer manufactured and first registered after January 1, 1966, and having a gross weight of 3,000 pounds or more shall be equipped with brakes on at least two wheels.

A lightweight trailer and Caterham should be well under.

Ah, thanks. I found where I had seen that....the 1500 pound limit applies only to camping trailers ("trailer coaches"), not to other trailers.

Well, might be a good idea to have brakes, anyway. At least with a rather lighweight tow car like mine.

Some of the formula ford racers use a trailer that is close in size to what you'd find for a Caterham.
