Can you send me the 3d files? I am setting up a CNC setup and I want to see if I can mill it in Aluminum.

I sure can. 2 possible problems:
- there is not much latitude in the cutout position. I stuck 45mm tubes into the TB barrels, measured precisely the clearance to the bonnet cutout all around and designed the part accordingly. If your engine and bonnet hole are not exactly in the same position as on my car it won't work.
- I chose wood because it is light weight, cheap and fast to machine. An aluminum block of the required size would probably cost a few hundred bucks and the machined part weigh 4-5 pounds. That said, the model could be modified and lightened with much thinner walls for aluminum. The machining time in wood was about 2 hours. I suspect for aluminum it would take 5-10 times as long. You can not run a 4" long slim end mill at high feed rate.

Actually the company I work for makes some very neat ultra high speed milling machines and high efficiency work centers (in another division). But I guess even with an employee discount I could not afford them.
They're in Pasadena. When I win the lottery and don't have to go to a job anymore I'd spend LOTS of time twinking around w/ a mill. Gert's having way too much fun w/ his!

A day you don't go a hundred is a day wasted
These are indeed neat machines. They may not be solid enough for a pro machine shop and would be too small for some of my woodworking but for us hobbyists making metal parts it should be ideal and quite a reasonable price. Much cheaper than a Cosworth Duratec but also not as fast.
The whole "Maker" scene is picking up more and more steam. Not just CNC machining but especially the 3D printing options.
If my intake works out I may sometimes machine a mold and laminate it properly in Carbon fiber or Carbon/Kevlar.
