1st Blat of the new year

The '62 has not had a reverse gear since I got it. So I took the opportunity of holiday time off to rebuild the gearbox. I got everything buttoned up by about 2:00 this afternoon and went in the house for lunch. After lunch I went back out to go for a Blat. I started the engine and let it warm up. And then it started raining. Hard. The only weather gear I have is a windshield. So my Blat amounted to running up and down our road and checking out all 4 gears .... And reverse. Awesome! The semi slicks are interesting in the wet. Then it was back inside for a hot shower and a couple of malts.

An altogether satisfying end to the holidays and beginning of the new year.
