Does anyone know him? Trying to find his number. He made his own Seven. . . . completely. It is blue and Alu. Pretty cool car. I think he worked at that aeronautic place that made the plane that circumnavagated the earth solar powered(?).

DaveG: Welcome to our dirty little website!! Tell us about your car: motor, trans, built from a plan (Locost?), how long to build, how long on the road, SB100, etc??

Do you like performance events? Three guys from this site attended a Corvair Club autocross @ Camarillo airport on sunday.

We also join the Shelby Club for their trackdays @ Streets of Willow in Sept. Please join us for a Maliblat or track time. 7s are even more fun with other 7s!! 8)

        Hi Dave,
This isn't 7's related, but do you know Paul Trist or Mike Reagan from Aerovironment? I use to fly full scale and model sailplanes with them a few years ago. I have not flown much lately, but I see Mike occassionally at the sailport in Techachapi. Just curious!

Yes, I know both Paul and Mike.
Paul is in charge of training the Army guys on our Small UAV's.
Mike owns his own composites business and still makes parts for us.

            Stan,

I didn't know that you were into model airplanes. I used to fly a ton of planes before I moved here. Still have all my equipment including a monster aerobatic machine with a Saito 4 stroke 25cc engine.

I even dabbed in UAV's making cruise controls (with pitot tubes and an onboard computer) and navigational systems... Quite fun. I should pick it up again some day.

                Hi Magnus,

Take a look at these pics - one of our model tow planes we use to get our scale sailplanes airborne (has a 215cc, 5 cylinder motor!):

                Here's a nice 1/3 scale Dimona:

Here's a bunch more models up to 1/2 scale(scroll down to see the photos):

                  Nice planes.

The five cylinder looks like the OS-engine. Their Pegasus engine (if it is still sold) is a flat four that sounds suspiciously like an old beetle.

Back in Sweden, where everything is smaller, we usually gave up at quarter scale. Half scale is BIG.

                  /Magnus F.
