The difference is that your tourist pictures look great. Mine tend to look like nerdy tourist pictures taken by a nerdy tourist (and those are the good ones). No matter, though; Japan is so different from here, I find just about any activity there entertaining and worthy of a photo.

I did feel like a nerdy tourist taking pictures for sure, but since getting married my days of being one in Japan seem to be over. now I either get put to work or spend the days running errands and hanging around the house. Taking pictures was for entertainment :D

Yes, very good pictures, Morgan.
I was once told while in Japan that the stereotypical American tourist was easy to spot, because they always had a camera with them and would take pictures of everything, even the most mundane, everyday things. And, by both my own actions and by observing others, I noticed that it is true! :)

Dude.
The photos are awesome. Miwako had a look at the gallery and was blown away. You should try to make some money out of that... Oh wait....

What a long strange trip it's been....
Just got home from two weeks in Japan, seemed longer. This time we were there to show off the newish ankle biter to the family, so while the wife had fun yapping with her family in Japanese (my Japanese is very limited) and doing baby stuff, I was relegated to sitting on the futon watching re-runs of CSI Miami, feck I hate David Caruso!
Did do some good eating and the Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom which was awesome. Also got to visit an old high school friend who lives fairly close, she moved to japan about 15 years ago and ended up marrying an Australian guy who is a great artist, does nude etchings, their home is, err interesting. Always fun to get together with them and we did the usual go to an Absinthe Bar and get a buzz on :D
Did have the opportunity to take a lot of photos while walking around the neighborhood, here is a few and the link to the gallery, enjoy
