I think that Morgan has a little more sense than this photographer:

    That's crazy!!

I know Andy Wilsheer. He used to work for a foreign car repair shop I worked at in the '70's

Him and his brother used to come over here and buy American Hot Rod parts and take them back to England.

    Glad he's OK

I watched this from the stands. We were at the start line on the same side of the track as the photographer. It was AMAZING!

Just to clarify Morgan's post: That is him running away from the flipping car.

            Morgan,

I'm not sure why you ran away...
...it would have missed you... :D
            ...by a few feet.

The cameras perspective makes it look that way, but I am pretty sure it would have got me, the bush I was standing behind was flattened. What you can't see is that the wheel/suspension assembly that went flying actually bounced and nearly hit me too.

              Got the shot though :D

The funny thing is this was not the closest call I've had

It was the straw that broke the camels back though

Looks like the roof cam stayed put for most of the ride. I'll bet that was interesting viewing!!

Travis Pastrana was driving and the Co-Driver was Christian Edstrom, who you met, he was the writer for the 0-60 article we did with your car
