...Photos were taken about 3 weeks ago (w/ a Panasonic DMC-LX2 Point and shoot )
Fabulous pictures. I really like this road although we almost froze solid last time. We left at sunny 65 degrees here early morning wearing a light jacket and it went down to some 40 degrees up there.
I have a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 but was never really happy with the pictures. Colors and sharpness kind of O.K. but not great. Maybe the 10x zoom has some drawback for the image quality. Or maybe I am just lacking that photographic index finger......
One of my favorite roads. I have thoughts for perhaps doing a Sevens two day tour up there next spring/summer and making a trip out of it. Maybe start at Angeles Crest up to Palmdale, then across Lake Hughes rd (another great one), to 126 for an overnight in Ojai, then up the 33 and back down Cerro Noreste to Frazier Park, then home....
LX2 has manual override functions, so you have much more control over the picture taking (if you know how to use it), I was able to underexpose the pictures to get the desired effect

Count me in (except the first week of April and assuming you don't prefer driving by yourself).

Since I've already ridden Mopho's car, and done some minor mechanical checkups on it, I think his need of build help is quite minimal. Although I have promised him a mapping session.
