Anybody have a suede steering wheel?

I got a 11" suede steering wheel a while ago, not too expensive ($120 IIRC). It gives really good grip when driving on track with gloves. But it feels quite slick when driving with bare hands. Quite counterintuitive considering the suede texture but I think for road driving a regular smooth leather wheel would have been better.
