Looking for a relatively late model Caterham for purchase – a Superlite 3/4/500R with preexisting CA registration would be my ideal candidate. – But all comers considered.

Well, there's this little beauty -- it's a SV with a Duratec engine that's been dynoed out to 206hp to the wheels (more powerful than the R400 which is 210hp to the crank).
