Caterham nose and hood - free to collect

I have a caterham nose and bonnet that I was kindly given by a member of this forum 2 years back during my locost build. I never got to use them, but they were very useful for measurements and the like. The hood has some dings and bends in it and the nosecone needs some glass repair.

I'm cleaning up the place and need some room. I'm in North County San Diego and they are free to collect if anyone is interested.

Hi,

I would like to borrow them for a trial fit on my Lotus Seven. I'm interested to see if the bonnet fits my scuttle and how much extra "head" room it would allow.
I can return them to Robert/Rod within a couple of weeks.

You are welcome to them - if you agree for Lee to come and borrow them before getting them to you thats fine with me too.

Lee, If you have an original Lotus 7, rather than a Caterham, the bonnet is slightly different and will not fit exactly. You will notice that the lower corners at the rear, which fit against the scuttle on the sides are different in shape.

I am in North County too .... north LA County. Canyon Country to be exact.
My car doesn't have any original sheet metal as the car was a basket case when I inherited it from my father in 1992. Everything was fabricated using the original chassis, SB 1220, so nothing much will fit. I am aware that the scuttle, bonnet and nose are taller on a Caterham. Since a friend of mine was going to be down in Vista, I thought it might work out. It is not a big issue for me; I've plenty of other projects to work on.

I probably should post an intro on myself. I met Doug last year at one of the Super Sunday meets.
