On Saturday, October 27, the Fabulous Fifties club is hosting their Concours d'Provenance. The event will be held at the South Coast Botanic Garden located at 26300 Crenshaw Blvd., Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA. For information, contact Davey Jordan at (909) 867-7998 or e-mail at [email protected] . Entry fee is $40 per car (tax deductable), and includes two admissions. General admission is $7.00 per person at the gate.
Guest judges for this event include Bob Bondurant, Scooter Patrick, John Morton, Tim Considine, Parnelli Jones, and a host of others (may include Carroll Shelby). All the judges will be available for friendly chat and autographs throughout the day.
I was planning to show our Seven, and hoped to have some others attend also. However, our Seven is presently under wraps pending accident recovery (please see my post under the November Buttonwillow thread), so the plan to show has been dashed. However, if you can attend, Davey has said he would love to have any and all of our Sevens displayed.
Also, I'd hoped to use this as an opportunity to discuss our merging/joining/association with the Lotus seven Club of Great Britain as a local "Area Club". So what do you say? Anyone interested in attending this event and getting together for an organization discussion?
Thank-you,
