  • 7s return to the Streets of Willow Sept 24 & 25, 2005

Today I Emailed many of you regarding the next Shelby Club event @ the Streets. Those who have been to the Streets know what great times these are and will be again. If you did not receive an Email from me and would like to, please send me your Email address through the PM system on this website. Or to my Email address if you have it.

Like always, I'll be buggin' ya to produce another record # of 7s @ the Streets! Should be better than ever!!

Time is of the essence as the event is limited to only sixty cars and the demand for track day weekends is mushrooming. This Shelby Club features a fine safety record, on a not too fast track, coupled with a lot of track time. This is an excellent venue for novices to the track as the top speeds attained are much lower than those at the big Willow track, Buttonwillow, etc.

    See ya there :!: 8)

I've trqaded my 7 for a Daewoo powered Manx dune buggy and am hoping for some trouble free track time. I also challenge Brad to a "Pinks" race with loser handing over his car. I get to lhave slicks on my Daewoo though.

At this point in time I have heard from nine guys with 7s that are hoping/planning to attend. There are still some spots remaining for those with the track itch. Please contact me on this thread with any questions/comments. Bring yer sunscreen! 8)

I may also add that I will have fitted my Caterham with an early magden M1 digital dashboard when I arrive to the Streets. This product can be viewed as a very, very high end data stack that adds a number of unique functions currently being patented by us.

The track event will be used to stress test the system from a physical point of view while trying out different information presentation strategies.

As soon as our patent attorney gives us a green light, I'll post more info for those interested.

                          /Magnus F.

Competition Development - Program, Feedback & Decisions

Another terrific weekend is coming up quickly for us at the Streets! Prior to this event if you haven't done so already, RIGHT NOW is a GOOD TIME to visit our CCC 'Club Developmnent' page and read/respond to the article: "Competition Development Program, Feedback & Decisions." I'll gather the data and present it during the weekend for everyone's consideration, digestion, and discussion. This is a Ground-Floor opportunity to develop a motorsport program we can all enjoy while driving our favorite cars!

My own car is sporting a new (well, slightly used by Magnus) Sierra 5-speed, plus clutch, belts and hoses. Right now, I'm sorting out a wiring issue with the alternator. The indicator light doesn't come on and the battery drains. My guess is one of the multi-pin connectors isn't getting good contact for that wire. We'll see. Otherwise, the car runs and feels great!

                            Best wishes,
                            Clark
