Never AXed with SCCA but once before and was wondering what classes I would likely get put or stuck into. I have a Zetec with cams and plan to go with AO32R 175x13. Will the cams put me out of ASP? I really don't want to go with slicks so would I think it would be wise to stay out of DM. Anythoughts on class options?

FYI, I have not autocrossed but I do run 175/13's on my car (front's only, the rears are 205's). The front feels under tired and will understeer quite a bit if you push it too hard. Most of the english folks use 185's and in softer compounds than we can get here.

SCCA regs condemn 7s to run in DM. However, local chapters sometimes have "catchall" classes for street legal cars/tires that will allow you to run elsewhere. Our local San Diego events have such a class.
Suggest that you find a bay area chapter @ scca.com There is probably a hotline or contact phone # for guys that want to get involved. The Golden Gate Lotus Club might also be able to provide some useful direction.
You might also join the lads @ Buttonwillow for some fun at the end of the month. It's located just north of Bakersfield.
Have fun/Go fast!!!
