  • SuperCarSunday Feb 3rd.

    Anyone interested?

A breakfast drive to the Rock Store included.

  • #2
We will be there, about 8:15.

But we will probably drive past the Rock Store. We want to go a bit further before I tear the Seven apart (sheet metal repair and some other preventive maintenance things).

I'll be there if it's not raining or too wet, which it currently is.

The funny thing is my wife goes " What is that car a Morgan ? " and I said "No that's a Caterham but there is a Morgan driving it " -delise

I will try and drag my carcass out of bed, shove it in the Birkin and meet you guys there between 7:45/8:15
          (if it's not wet)
(the road that is, not my carcass...)

            Morgan

Why is your car on blocks?

Are you being punished by the wife? Again!

No, I am being punished by my fuel cell again. Clogged fuel filter I hope.

Sucks because I would have had a hall pass for the whole day, grrr. Guess I will go beat myself up on the bicycle for a few hours

What does the fuel cell maker have to say about your trauma?

I know other cars with fuel cells with foam and they don't seem to have this much trouble.

Maybe I should not say this to avoid bad karma but my Fuel Safe cell is holding up for maybe 8 or 9 years. I read somewhere that the yellow stuff used by Fuel Safe and ATL is superior to e.g. Jegs material but who knows.

I was tempted to replace the bladder and foam since it is way beyond recommended life but decided to keep using it.

Haven't contacted them, I don't recall if the the foam I put in last time was from ATL or of another manufacturer (got it at Earl's)

It has been 4 years since I last changed the foam and according to the internets that is about right with the added ethanol in CA gas.
Also to note, I don't know yet if the foam has broken down or it is something else, the car is having fuel starvation issues so I am assuming that is the cause.
If it is, I am going to try eliminating the foam altogether and see what happens.
