  • Assault by 7 on Mt. Palomar

Anyone up for another run up the mountain? Thinking about Saturday, May 19. The basic route would take us from I 15 to the top of the Mt. Palomar @ 6000'+. From there we might visit Borrego Springs for some desert heat and then up to Julian for some nourishment. We could run some of the side roads for a bit of additional fun. Excellent roads and scenery coupled with Indian Casinos if that is what you need/want.

Always up for it. We blasted the R400 up to the top last weekend with a nice brunch at Mother's.

That sounds excellent. Another chance to save my vision and sex life (based on Doug's comment on the other thread).
Probability for me to be there is 98.2%

I have reason to believe that the great Magnus Feuer will also participate.

          I believe you are right.

I'll trailer the Caterham down to your house on Friday, and we can hit the road on Saturday while our wives and kids do wifely and kiddely things.

Got to tell my son to do something kiddely. I don't really want to know what that means at age 24 .

When I was 24, it involved tittlies and beerelies (if things went well).

Not sure if this event is still up. But, just in case, I must invoke the 1.8% probability that I will not make it. I will be out of town...

I can't make it. I have the engine out for a clutch replacement:

And a miriad of other unplanned little repairs found to be required along the way.

Ha! No wonder the original Lotus Seven did not weigh anything. Cute gearbox.

If that's the engine in the background it looks like a steel flywheel.

You might consider a lightened steel or better an aluminium flywheel.

                          Well... maybe next time!

I am heading to Fontana Cal Speedway on Saturday to support a major customer.
