  • Dyno/mapping in mid-August 2011 (tentative)

Trying to put together a dyno/map session with map master Magnus this Summer, probably taking place at Bisimoto in Ontario (SoCal) as in the past. Mid-August appears to be the most likely time frame.

Anybody who may be interested in participating should register their interest here, please. Probably helpful to list your engine and ECU. Not sure what you may need to bring, but I am sure that will shake out as this develops.

I am interested.....although my last visit at Bisi and watching the smoke from the exhaust at high revs led to a complete engine rebuild. But I guess that was not Bisi's fault.
I have a ZX1 with Emerald but barring a major issue I am not planning to remap, just the annual physical.

I'm planning on being there too.

On the dyno if I get my VCT working otherwise we'll work on bringing the scales to do some car setup. Either at Bisi's or someplace TBD.

The weekend of August 6th is not good for me. The rest open right now.

I'd like to propose Aug 13 for this session.

And I'd also like to address the big elephant in the room, who I shall name Moose.

            Will you come?

            /Magnus F.

I may show up, not sure if the 7 will accompany me.

                That sounds interesting.

Put me down as a definite maybe.

I definitely plan to be there on the 13th. Rod and I will maybe drive from NoCal together.
Moose - Please work this into your plans, if possible. It would be a real bonus to see and hear the fabled Ammo-tor in person. :)

                    Count me in!
I have zetec and an emerald ECU that has never been set up properly.

I will need a data cable and software for anything that is not a Pectel T2 or T6.

I can bring the cable and laptop with Emerald software if Paul needs that.

I have a cable and disc labelled "Cosworth EM5 software" (Easimap 5, I believe) that came with my engine, and will bring those. I do not have a Windows-based laptop, but may be able to get one by August.

Best to at least borrow a laptop and install Easimap. I think you can also download it for free.

Also check to be sure your ECU is not password protected.

You'll want to be sure you can communicate and modify the program in the ECU otherwise Bisi will be able to tell you if it's correct or where it's rich or lean but not make corrections.
