Speedventures Dec 20 and 21

I'm thinking of going to the Speedventures event Monday, Dec 21, at Buttonwillow. There won't be many cars, so it will be a wide open track! $190 for as much track time as you can take.

Here is the info if anyone is interested. I won't have my new car yet, so I will probably be renting an RX-7.

I rented a "Pro 7" RX-7 from Sevens Only racing for the day. It was a lot of fun, with lots of open track. Driving the RX-7 really reminded me how great our cars are. Although the Pro 7 is very light and fun to drive, the responsiveness just doesn't compare to a seven. We really are spoiled to have such nimble cars!

(Don't get me wrong - I love the stripped down RX-7's and would recommend them to anyone!)

I raced against the "Sevens Only" Mazda crew back in 2007 in my Seven. There were a couple of guys who never made it through a race without hitting something - in one case it was me. The cars seemed pretty nice though. Glad you had a good time.
