  • Mini-Tour This Weekend

We are planning to drive a few hours this weekend (as a sorry replacement for the fabulous Presidents' Day drive that we missed).

Idea was to drive out to Palmdale and have breakfast at the Pines Cafe and then go out to Lake Elizabeth, Lake Hughes Road, along Castaic Lake, through Santa Clarita to Sand Canyon and home via Little Tujunga Canyon.

Not sure yet if Saturday or Sunday.

    Any takers?

    Gert

I'll say maybe, with a preference for Sunday AM.

I'll go, with Sunday a slight preference.
The extra day may give Randall time to get the new engine installed in his Birkin, program the new ecu, install the new suspension, and lower the floor ;)

I'll do what I can. It'll be close, but I probably won't quite make it. ;-)

The funny thing is my wife goes " What is that car a Morgan ? " and I said "No that's a Caterham but there is a Morgan driving it " -delise

            I'm in.

            Some notes:
The Pines is no longer The Pines, it's a mexican place now. Probably still serves breakfast. Crazy Otto's is a good backup plan, on Santiago/Sierra.

Little Tujunga would probably be an out-and-back for Stan and I, but I don't mind. I drive it almost every week as part of my Friday commute, but I never get tired of it:)

I recommend we work Spunky Cyn Rd (goes between Francisquito and Bouquet) into the route; short, can be dirty, but fantastic.

Sindy can't come, she will be busy adopting a new dog.

I can always use the time to install the new Outlaw brakes, .750 master cylinder, fuel swirl pot, and inertial cutoff switch....

                        How about This

I am not sure if that 2-mile cutoff between Lake Hughes Road and Francisquito is drivable. If not, oh well another 20 miles.

I'll need fuel so might be at the gas station on the other side of the FWY. I think it's a Shell station.

Is there parking at Gert's location?

Anyone that might be late call me at 805-498-7771 Leave a message if I cannot hear the phone.
