  • November blat anyone?

Anyone up for a blat November 8th or 9th?

I was thinking we could meet near Pasadena, up to Newcomb's Ranch for coffee and introductions if anyone new is along, then Angeles Forest Hwy to Big Pines Hwy then up to Wrightwood for lunch. Return could be the reverse or down the 15 freeway home, or even extend the drive up to Arrowhead/Big Bear and make it a full day.

I'm open to other dates and route suggestions too. I know we have a few new Sevens owners in the area we would all like to meet!

I'm in, the 9th might be better for me.

I'll try to make it out to meet you guys. It's going to be a busy weekend since I'll be moving though.

I'd be down, but that is too far in advance for me to commit just yet

The funny thing is my wife goes " What is that car a Morgan ? " and I said "No that's a Caterham but there is a Morgan driving it " -delise

Sounds good to me. I'd like to meet you guys, and those are nice roads. At this point, I don't know if either day is better or worse for me...I think both are good.

Lets do Sunday the 9th. The long range weather forecast looks good with temps in the 70's.

I suggest meeting somewhere between 8:30 and 9:00, and leave promptly at 9:00?

Does anyone know if there is a parking lot we can meet at close to the 210/hwy 2 intersection? The other option is meeting at the 210 interchange close to Gert's house were we have met in the past before other drives. Open to suggestions.

                Blat

I hope I'll be in town next weekend, we can meet up at the new sport chalet mall at the corner of angeles crest hwy. and foothill blvd. I would suggest starting no later than 8:00 so we beat the traffic and CHP up to Newcomb's. Hope I can make it since it's such a long ways from my house! Steve

O.K., 9th is good and the Sport Chalet lot is easy to find. I hope Steve is not going to run out of gas driving the endless half mile to this spot. Maybe we should stay with 8:30 to give the folks a bit more time who are coming a real long way. I know from own drainful experience that the cops are early risers and be up there even before 8:00 am (in my case not CHP but Glendale Police).

I like the suggested route. Usually I would drive home from Wrightwood but actually I like to make spontaneous decisions, i.e. if the weather is good and car running well I may prefer just to keep going.

If we keep going in the right direction we could end up in Big Sur.

Leaving by 8 AM is OK with me.

Yes, that's how it happens...3 weeks ago Rosi and I took off to the mountains for a quick trip, kept going through Lake Elizabeth, Frazier Park, Lockwood Valley and stopped by at UCSB to have lunch with our son. After returning home we noticed that was a quick 330 mile round trip. A nice one anyway.

                          8th would be good

Saturday the 8th would work for me. Sunday morning is the Mission Inn 5K/10K, and I've done almost every one since I was 30. (That was a long time ago.) It would be good to see everybody again! I'll be looking to see what date is finally settled on.

My preference is Sunday but Saturday could work as well.

Just less explaining to the wife where I'll be - she is off on her own stuff Sunday.

OK, lets plan on Saturday the 8th, meeting in the Sports Chalet parking lot at 8:30. It will be nice having Clark along again.

The Sports Chalet is located just 1/2 block south of the 2/210 interchange on the 2.

                              See everyone there!
