  • Calabasas Car show and short blat

I'm planning on meeting Mopho at the Calabasas Car show tomorrow 4/20 to give him a chance to drive another Seven.

Generally lots of exotics show up.

Anyone else interested? Get there early (7:30 AM) for a place to park. Generally done by 9:00AM

    Short blat to follow maybe?

Thanks again Doug for your time, knowledge and of course a drive in your fantastic car.

Was desperate for a blat afterwards, so went home and bled the cooling system on the Elan in hopes of fixing it and went for a drive. Car ran fine and cool (though it was not hot out) but it still dumped a lot of it's coolant into the overflow bottle. (Going to change the thermostat and cap next to see if that is the cause)
Drive was fantastic and the car was great (cooling issue withstanding) which makes this decision even harder.

Strange about all the meatheads doing burnouts and the dog fight at the meet, I hope this crap does not put the event in jeopardy.
One of those Porsche Turbos (black one) that showed up sort of late ended up on its roof on stunt rd. Looked like everyone was alright though, they had a wrecker there when I went by.

The funny thing is my wife goes " What is that car a Morgan ? " and I said "No that's a Caterham but there is a Morgan driving it " -delise

The burn outs were about standard, actually a bit low. Next Sunday is the bigger end of month event.

As for the rest, not part of the meet so shouldn't be an issue.

How did they guy get the car on the roof?

Another reason I take the car to the track.

Actually they have calmed things down a lot as of late, the owners of the mall have been threatening to put an end to it. That was the worst I've seen it in a while.

Not sure how the car rolled (other than the obvious), I didn't stop, the wrecker was already there and they were rolling it back onto its wheels and cleaning up.
