:D Hi from the other side of the pond....best of luck with getting the club and blats up and running....I assume you guys are aware of the intention for us Limey's to invade your shores in 2005 :)
Anyone who wants to look at the home of 'Blatting', should check out www.blatchat.com and don't worry, us English are wierd
A couple of choices for definition of BLAT - you choose!!
"Apparently the word Blat was used by the Met (police - not weather) to describe going fast.
It is an acronym for BLues And Twos i.e. blue light and a two tone siren."
Also, here is a word from my friend the ex-chairman of the L7CGB:
Ah well you have committed the ultimate faux pas now.... asking the ex
chairman a basic question about sevening that he does not know the answer to
!
I guess that my definition might be
To Blat:
To drive in a free and open style on public roads where the manner of
driving is more important than the destination.
To Blat: derived from the noise of the induction and exhaust symphony ?
- And maybe this is more than you ever wanted to know about BLAT, but there you go!

Any time you take the car out can be considered a "blat". It's often more enjoyable to do it in company with other 7s. We have appropriated the term from those fellows whose yoke of oppression we cast off more 200 years ago. 8)
